About the Author

Sigh, there is so much to tell you.

I’ll try to be brief. Professionally speaking, I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I got my bachelors from Southern Wesleyan University right after high school and my masters in marriage and family therapy from Converse College significantly later.

In between the two degrees I worked apathetically at the cable company. You might remember me best from my classic line, “thank you for calling **** cable, I’m sorry your service is down.” Thank God for second careers.

I consider myself among a special class of people I affectionately call Late-Bloomers. I didn’t admit or accept my own sexuality until I was 35. I did it only because I met my now wife who was too precious and amazing to live without. Thus I have a big heart for this population as life before 35 was a cluster and no one should have to live like that.

I have two dogs. Play 80s and 90s folk music on my acoustic guitar. Once had one of my recordings in the rotation on a Croatian radio station. I have a breakfast cereal addiction and am currently trying to go cold turkey. I’m obsessed with Wonder Woman, Betty White, Dolly Parton and Karaoke.

I refuse to make left turns on busy four lane roads.

Oh, also, I assume you know, I’ve got a private practice where you can come and see me.

That’ll do for now.
